
Last year’s Teva World Rafting Championships was held in Holland, with Japan coming out as the overall winners in both the Men’s and Women’s events. Here’s a great video from SportsceneTV showcasing the final Down River race on the last day of the event. This was a brutal, intense points race that determined the final outcome.

The 2011 World Rafting Championships will be held in Costa Rica on the Pacuare River from October 4 to 11, 2011. More info on the 2011 Rafting Championships is available at the official event website. Let’s hope for a better finish for the US teams!
